The Ceilidh Event hosted by RCE Greater Atlanta with Rick Stone, CEO of StoryWork International, Ends with Resounding Success!
| |
A Ceilidh is an ancient approach to building a sense of community that originated in Ireland and Scotland. It is an excellent way to reconnect and foster a sense of community and trust through storytelling. Julie Chen, a Summer 2022 Intern for the RCE Greater Atlanta worked hard to organize the event with her committee. The SLS Interns shared their stories with each other and with members of the RCE Network in the Kendeda Building at Georgia Tech following the closing session of the Sustainable Communities Summer Internship Program of 2022. The interactive session featured prompts that guided participants to deep and meaningful conversations - even with strangers. The RCE Greater Atlanta plans to have more events like this in the future, so there are more opportunities for you to participate!

Invitation to Collaborate on UNESCO Greening Curriculum Youth Survey from UNESCO Open until August 8, 2022
| |
From the Global RCE Service Centre:
The UNESCO Greening Curriculum Youth Survey is on climate education targeted at young people between 12-25 years old, is open until 8 August 2022.
To ensure all learners acquire knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes to tackle climate change, UNESCO plans to co-develop some guidelines with young people to support policymakers integrate climate education into education policies and curricula.
We would like to understand young people’s learning experiences on climate change and to learn from their say on what they wish to see changed on climate education in their schools and community. The result of this process will be published at COP 27 in Egypt in November this year, and will contribute to the development of the UNESCO greening curriculum guideline to be launched for COP28 in 2023.
