Career Fair

Are you preparing for the upcoming GVSU Career and Internship Fair, but not quite sure where to start?

The Career Center will be hosting a drop-in event to help you refine your resume, formulate your elevator pitch, and learn the proper way to follow up after the fair to build meaningful employer connections.

Drop-in hours will be held on October 5th on the Allendale campus in 200 STU from 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm and on October 6th on the Pew campus in DeVos Center 145C from 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2023-2024 academic year will open on October 1, 2022. We encourage using the IRS data retrieval tool to pull 2021 tax information, to make the process even easier.

Also, our online scholarship database, myScholarships offers GVSU specific and external opportunities for new and current students based on academic merit, financial need, major and more. The majority of deadlines fall between February 15 and March 1. Students can begin to submit applications for the 2023-2024 academic year on November 1, 2022, by visiting the GVSU My Scholarships website. Students with questions should contact the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships by emailing scholarships@gvsu.edu.

We understand that unusual circumstances exist that may warrant reconsideration of financial aid eligibility. These special circumstances may be changes that have occurred in your family or student circumstances since the FAFSA was filed or unusual family circumstances not accounted for on the FAFSA. Please visit www.gvsu.edu/financialaid/specialcirc to learn how to let us know about these changes.

PCEC Success Centers

Our computing and engineering success centers are OPEN and schedules are available for you to view. We know this is the time of the semester when you start to realize that classes can be tough, but you have a place that will support you virtually or in person. GVSU Tutoring has more support for other classes like PHY, CHM, MTH, and STA (and many more). You can view their tutoring center here.

Replenish

Replenish is a resource you can utilize as a student monthly with your student ID. Replenish has food, personal care products, and any necessities you may need. You can visit them either in Allendale at Kirkhof 074, Downtown Grand Rapids at the Steelcase Library on the first floor in DeVos Building A, or Cook-DeVos Center for Health Science (CHS 347.) You can learn more about their hours and how to support them here.
