You are receiving this email because you have been identified as an international Gaucho who is currently authorized for Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) and/or the STEM OPT Extension.
For those of you on OPT and the STEM OPT Extension, log into the SEVP Portal system now and ensure that your employment information is current and up-to-date. If you should fail to report your employment in the system, your I-20 will be terminated by SEVP. Employment reporting help is provided here, under "Reporting Requirements."
As you are aware, you have 90 days to find and report employment on OPT. If you are on the STEM OPT Extension, you have an additional 60 days to find and report employment.
Failure to either find work or report it will trigger this termination of your I-20 record and place you out-of-status. If this occurs, you will be required to depart the U.S. immediately to avoid denial of any future immigration requests or benefits.
If you are having trouble logging into the SEVP portal system to report, please contact OISS immediately. You can also refer to the SEVP Portal Help page.
Have you recently moved or changed employers?
As a reminder you also are required to report any change in home address or employment within 10 days of the change while on OPT and the STEM OPT Extension in the SEVP Portal system.
Are you on STEM OPT Extension?
For those of you on the STEM OPT Extension, you are also required to report to your school (OISS) your employment every 6 months and ensure your I-983 training plans have been submitted and are current.
