You may have just read the email with new guidance from the Provost’s Office on modalities for fall to help mitigate concerns about COVID. In addition to the density reduction strategies previously offered, you may now request a temporary modality change, valid through September 17.
Associate Dean Cassandre Alvarado, along with Senior Associate Dean Anita Vangelisti, will manage approvals on behalf of the college. If you wish to be considered for a temporary modality change, please fill out this Qualtrics link by Friday, August 20 at 5pm.
Temporary modality changes should be considered when there is a pedagogically appropriate reason to do so. Please share with us as much detail as possible on the form, including your strategy for notifying students if you are approved. Notifications will come over the weekend so that faculty and instructors can prepare for the semester. Please be sure to discuss your plans with your Chair/Director if you have questions or require guidance.
