Hydrate With Love – Boushall MS has two new Student Hydration Ambassadors, Autumn and Addyson. They received training on proper hydration and will be working with Virginia Commonwealth University to conduct a hydration study in their school!
Pop-Up Library at Bellevue – A new pop-up library is making the rounds at Bellevue ES, delivering fun, new reading material right to students' seats! Special thanks to Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Gina Powell!
I'd like to shout-out Ms. Perkinson who continues to grow the dance program at Binford. The students flourish because of her guidance. I'd also like to shout-out Mr. Chapman. With all that is going on, he has stepped up as an acting AP. The students really respond to him.
Shout out to the entire 6th grade team and office staff at River City Middle School for working together to make RCMS Red Tails successful and our loads a little lighter. You all make my job easier, and our students benefit from you every day! Thank you!

A huge shout-out to Ms. T. Jones who facilitated the reading night at Swansboro Elementary. We had more than fifty percent of our school community attend and each family took home a “Hooked on Phonics” program.

I would like to give a huge shout-out to the dean of students at River City Middle School,Katerina Momiroska. She does a wonderful job building rapport with all of her students, in and out of school. I am amazed that she took the time this past weekend to attend an important event for one of her 8th grade students at River City Middle School. Thank you for your continuous support and generosity.
Mrs. Robinson goes above and beyond to support the community at Cary Elementary. She is always there to offer advice, simply listen, or help brainstorm solutions. Thank you so so much for all you do for the students of JBC but also for the teachers and staff. We see you and appreciate you!

Valerie Mclauglin, 3rd grade teacher at Cardinal Elementary School, loves her job so much that she smiles all the time and shares her care with everyone around her. I'm almost sure that she is a Care Bear in disguise. She has that Care Bear Stare, the ability to heal those that are hurting with a glittery beam of hearts and stars.
