BISD
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Sakai Families,

Next week will be our annual book fair. For me, it will be the first in-person book fair I’ve experienced at Sakai and I’m really looking forward to the excitement that it brings. A huge thank you to PTO volunteers Honora and Teresa for their help leading it this year.

Today during COHO time, our students will be focused on exploring values. In this session, students will reflect on how they want to feel in different situations and discuss how this relates to and can help them understand their own personal values. Students will spend time thinking about what they value and how that helps them to think about who they want to be.

The family Dare this week might be helpful if you are hosting family or friends this week. It’s called, “Home Games” and challenges families to set up a 5 event tournament that involves some silly games and some clean-up games to make tidying up fun. Look up some “minute to win it” type games and combine them with some household chores. For example, see who can fold and put away 10 pieces of clothing the fastest and then see who can use a clothes hanger as a golf club to hit some balled-up socks the farthest. The winner gets the grand prize...whatever you want that to be!

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving break, Sakai. We are grateful for you and your wonderful children.
