Celebrate Earth Day with the Stay Away 5K on April 23-24

Not local? No problem! Whether you're from Durham or Dubai or anywhere in between, the Stay Away 5K is a fun way for EVERYONE to support lemur care and conservation at the DLC! Register below, then run—or walk, skip, ride, or hike—a 5K on Earth Day weekend (April 23-24), with your friends and family and pets, anywhere in the world!

Your $35 registration fee gets you an exclusive event t-shirt shipped anywhere in the US, an excuse to get outside, and the knowledge that you're helping care for and conserve lemurs in Durham and Madagascar. Plus you'll raise awareness of these charismatic primates, the most endangered group of mammals on Earth!

Registration is open for summer tours! All tour reservations are now made online via our onsite tours homepage, where you can also learn more about the general and premium tour offerings available this year.

Please note that you must have a tour reservation to see the lemurs, and that unfortunately we cannot accomodate walk-in visitors. We'll post links to register for tours two months in advance: registration for May tours opened in March, June tours open in April, and so on.
