News focused exclusively on financing for
energy efficiency and renewable energy
We write here chiefly on what's new and what's coming. This month, we acknowledge what continues.

The Inflation Reduction Act portends many billions of dollars' worth of construction in the United States.  We've seen solar developers, manufacturers and others announce capital commitments on the logic that the IRA will meet a growing demand to give their business a competitive jump. But new commitments take root in established grounds and practices. This month, we look at an investment strategy that focuses on making clean energy progress work within the constraints in our current system.

However you mark the seasons, we wish you patience, persistence, and peace.

Policy Pinpoint: Start Here, Start Now
Alec Appelbaum
Our series of blog posts on strategic choices after the Inflation Reduction Act continues. This time, consider a $1 billion capital raise for a fund that steers toward hedges against "long-term climate losses" and into companies that push the clean economy forward with strategies that cause helpful outcomes in today's mixed economy. There's more smart money in grounded but ambitious projects. Give it some thought.
