Join us for a seminar on college athletic recruiting. During this ninety-minute discussion, we will cover a wide range of topics, including rules around NCAA eligibility and recruiting, what coaches look for in their recruits, and how recruits can best present themselves to coaches. Our panelists this year include Kristen Hargis, assistant director of compliance services at the University of Connecticut; Casey Brown, head coach of women's soccer at Holy Cross; and Matt Greason, head coach of men's ice hockey at Trinity College.

Pomfret Mystery Checkout Challenge

This winter, English IV: Great Books explored the following question: What makes young adult fiction books great? Students have considered adolescent topics that are consistently encountered in young adult fiction, many dealing with the adolescent journey of self-discovery. As a class, they read the graphic memoir Honor Girl by Maggie Thrash, and Sherman Alexie’s award-winning, semi-autobiographical novel, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian.

In collaboration with the Pomfret Public Library, students have created a checkout challenge. What is this you ask? Check out the video to find out!

Manuscripts is a portfolio of student and faculty artwork (paintings, drawings, ceramics, and photography), writing (prose, nonfiction, and poetry), and music. We aim to showcase our student and faculty talents via email, our regularly updated website, and our printed booklets.

Battle of the Bands

This weekend was Battle of the Bands here on the Hilltop. Student and faculty bands came out for jaw dropping performances! A lot of musical talent performed, including the faculty band "Good Enough," showing off their skills in this fun medley. Congrats to "Honors Contemporary Music" and "The Placebo Effect," who both won Battle of the Bands and will be performing at the outdoor spring concert!
