Dear Class of 2026 & Transfers,

After some time away to study for final exams and wrap up the end of their year, our Orientation Coordinators (OCs) are back and ready to dedicate their entire summer to get you ready and excited for Stanford! We'll do some retreating, team-bonding, and other fun orientation-coordinating things this week, so stay tuned for the OC Zone beginning next week! Entrance Health Requirements & Vaden Forms

All new students entering Stanford are required to complete your Entrance Health Requirements & Vaden Health Forms. While the deadline to complete your forms is August 1, please review the requirements now to ensure you have time to visit your health care provider this summer, if needed.
To complete your Entrance Health Requirements:
1. Read Vaden Health Service's 2022-23 Student Health Matters booklet, your guide to caring for your health at Stanford. Detailed information about the entrance health requirements, Covid-19 vaccination + booster requirement, and health insurance requirement is included in this booklet.
2. Log in and complete your Health Forms online at the VadenPatient Portal. You'll need your Stanford ID (SUID) Number - this is the 8-digit number found on your admission letter or on your Approaching Stanford Forms.
3. Upload your Immunization Record in VadenPatient. You will need to upload proof of your Covid-19 vaccination + booster separately from your other vaccinations.
Enrollment Hold: Students who do not complete your entrance health requirements by August 1 will have an Enrollment Hold placed on your account by Vaden Health Services, preventing you from enrolling in Autumn Quarter courses when enrollment opens for students: Sept 1 for transfers, during NSO for frosh.
Health Insurance Requirement: Student Health Matters also contains important information regarding the university health insurance requirement to maintain continuous health insurance, and the option to remain enrolled in or to waive Cardinal Care, the university – sponsored health insurance plan in which all students are automatically enrolled at the start of their entry quarter each year. International students planning to waive Cardinal Care should do so by August 15, otherwise you should acknowledge Cardinal Care by September 15. Domestic students will need to acknowledge or waive Cardinal Care by September 15 in Axess.
For questions about your individual situation and/or records, please contact Vaden staff by submitting a help ticket at stanford.service-now.com/student_services, select "Student Health." For general questions about the requirement, please post to the Vaden Forms Q&A Board in Canvas.

Introducing the Advising Corner

Hello Class of 2026 and Transfers, and welcome!
We, your Academic Advisors, are so looking forward to helping you start your Stanford journey. Once a month you’ll be getting a special Advising Newsletter from us that goes into greater depth about important academic topics. Amazing, right? The first issue will be sent later this week.
But there’s more... Each week we’ll have this Advising Corner to highlight topics from those monthly newsletters and the Academic Planning Module, remind you of important information, and help get you started on your academic path here on the Farm.
But today, we just wanted to say how excited we are that you have chosen to come to Stanford.

Transfer Office Hours - Housing Options

Graduate Housing | Tuesday, June 21: 1:00-2:00pm PDT
Undergraduate Housing | Thursday, June 23: 2:30-3:30pm PDT
Join us in the Transfers Virtual Zoom Lounge this week to talk about housing options for first-year transfers. These will be informal sessions to learn more, meet staff, and ask questions!
On Tuesday, staff from the Graduate Housing Assignments team will talk about the various types of residences and locations around campus that house 25+ years students, couples, and students with families. We get lots of questions every year about graduate housing and are excited to bring the experts to you.
On Thursday, we'll be talking about the transfer experience in undergraduate housing. We'll be joined by the incoming Kimball Resident Fellows (RFs) and RAs who will introduce themselves and talk about living in Kimball, as well as programs and events they have planned this year to engage the Kimball community and the greater transfer community. And for those interested, we'll stay on the call to talk about theme housing and the ethnic and academic theme dorms on campus.
If needed, register for housing accommodations with the Office of Accessible Education as soon as possible. (Initial registration deadline was June 15.)
To join, please download and install Stanford Zoom. Virtual sessions this summer through Approaching Stanford will require that you log in to Zoom using your Stanford account.
