    This week we talk with Dick Spottswood, a music historian, record collector, and radio programmer who has written several books and hosts "The Dick Spottswood Show" on bluegrasscountry.org.   Dick was also one of the founders of Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine and shares with us some great stories of the early years of the magazine, and talks about his radio show.

Archive Articles - Hazel Dickens
     Hazel Dickens (1925-2011) was a pioneering female bluegrass artists from West Virginia with a soulful mountain-bred voice and a skill for writing songs.  She established herself as bluegrass and folk artist in the Washinton-Baltimore area in the 1960s.  This article about Hazel, written by Ron Thomason, was printed in the February 1982 issue of Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine.
