Masking required for Move-In Day

We look forward to welcoming families and students to campus for Move-In Weekend. We want to provide you with an exciting and safe as possible back-to-campus experience and therefore are requiring everyone—whether vaccinated or unvaccinated—to mask, even while outdoors, when engaged in close interactions with others while on campus as in the situations described below.

VISITORS: All visitors must mask indoors, as well as mask outdoors during check-in, faculty head of house meet and greets and orientation.
CAMPUS COMMUNITY: Students and staff must mask in residence halls during Move-In Weekend and must mask both indoors and outdoors during the move-in check-in process and during information sessions and programs.

Family Weekend registration opens next week

Family Weekend will be in person on campus this fall, Oct. 1–3. Plan to come early, as many activities are planned for that Friday. We look forward to hosting our Vanderbilt families for a wonderful weekend. For those who are unable to attend in person, there will be opportunities to engage virtually.

Class of 2024 Parent and Family Orientation on Aug. 22

Parents and families of students who enrolled at Vanderbilt for the first time in fall 2020 are invited to attend a special version of Parent and Family Orientation on Sunday, Aug. 22, from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Langford Auditorium, moderated by Vice Provost Vanessa Beasley. This session will also be livestreamed and recorded for those who wish to view it remotely or at an alternate time. The event offers an opportunity for parents and families to learn about the academic, health, safety and wellness resources available on Vanderbilt’s campus and discuss how they can support their student’s well-being and success at Vanderbilt.
