Mark Wilkinson celebrates his twelfth year with Harwick next month. Originally from North Carolina, he has worked with custom homebuilders and developers throughout Southwest Florida since 1985.

Present us with a challenge and we will rise to it. Case in point: the complete transformation of an open, two-story living space into a first-floor living room with a second-floor karaoke bar, club room and a stage suitable for a band or other performance. The project was so unique, we submitted it in the 2021 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. It won in the Residential Specialty category and was further chosen as a National Award winner. We also completely renovated the kitchen to match the home’s overall aesthetic.

We built this inspired custom estate on a spectacular waterfront lot on Marco Island. The home’s tropical style mixes classic Old Florida with coastal twists. Lap siding, tongue-and-groove driftwood ceilings, corner brackets and exposed rafter tails all emulate Old Florida homes. Transomed French doors and full-size and clerestory windows maximize views and natural light. Elements like the custom-designed stairway add warmth, while the great room’s chandelier is a stunning focal point.
