Dear students,
The fall semester has finally begun, and we are SO happy to have you all back on campus.  From orientation leader (OL) bridge painting and first-year move-in day to the Welcome to West, Spark Summit, and Class of 2026 convocation, we had a blast getting to connect with many of you over the past two weeks. Special thanks to the hundreds of returning students who have invested so much into welcoming the Class of 2026 and transfer students.
Regardless of your class year, this semester brings all kinds of opportunities for you to engage with one another and the campus community.  We hope you enjoy this year's bi-weekly newsletter (yet to be named - we need your help!)
We are both available for office hours and please stop us when you see either of us in passing on the Plaza or elsewhere! Hope to see you soon.
Go Duke,
Gary Bennett, Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education
Mary Pat McMahon, Vice Provost of Student Affairs

First Big Week

First Big Week is packed full of events to help students connect with each other and to campus. The schedule includes academic, social, spiritual, and service events, and so much more.

Annual Fall Career Fair

We are excited to bring Duke's largest All Industry Career Fair back and in-person! This is a great opportunity to connect with employers across all industries and learn from representatives (many who are alumni) about organizations and their available or upcoming full-time jobs and internships.
Join us on September 21 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm EST in Wilson Gym!

Register on Handshake.

Faculty Fellow Appointments

We are delighted to announce the appointment of the inaugural group of QuadEx Faculty Fellows. These individuals will play a critical role in more closely aligning Duke’s academic mission with undergraduate students’ social and residential lives.

Each QuadEx Faculty Fellow will be associated with (but will not reside in) one of Duke’s seven quad communities, partnering with students to enhance intellectual life within the quad and to support undergraduate students’ intellectual growth and exploration beyond the classroom.

Fight the Flu!

Duke offers free flu shots for all students and no appointment is needed. Flu shots are available at various locations across campus and run from September 20 - October 31. For more information and exact dates, locations, and timing, click here.

Reminders About COVID Protocols for the Fall Semester

You can find information about all the COVID protocols for the fall semester on the Duke Coronavirus Response website.

Student Affairs Shuffle - Summer 2022

We are excited to re-introduce the locations, services, and resources of many Student Affairs offices to the greater Duke Community. These moves enhance the Division's student-facing presence in the Bryan Center, increase visibility for the identity and cultural centers, and expand the range of dedicated space for student leaders.
Below, you will find a helpful graphic highlighting "what's where now" on campus.

We loved welcoming the Class of 2026 to East and West Campus this weekend!
