In this video Tim May discusses and demonstrates some basics regarding playing rhythm and accompaniment on the mandolin. He starts with chop chords and then moves beyond that to show a variety of other techniques.

In this week's special series article about Bill Emerson, we cover the period of his career that he spent playing with Cliff Waldron. Emerson and Waldron were known for taking songs from other genres and playing them in a bluegrass style.
