Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Cohort 3
Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Cohort 3 held a Deep Dive Coaching night on Feb. 10. EITs shared a more developed version of their business concept with community business coaches who offered feedback and encouragement. The final Pitch Showcase and Graduation will be on March 3rd from 6-8pm on Zoom. Grow High-Quality Grasses
An educational program for farmers, industry agronomists, and dairy nutritionists where they learned about the environmental benefits of utilizing grasses for dairy rations, better alfalfa winter survival when seeded with perennial grass, and improved animal health when grasses are included in dairy cow diets. The goal is to help farmers grow high-quality grasses, which benefit cow health, farm profits, and water quality.

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions from all sectors of society, including the agriculture sector, is a concern for all.  The agriculture sector contributes 10% of the greenhouse gas emissions, behind transportation, electricity, industry, and commercial and residential sources.  Greenhouse gas emissions from the barn comes mainly from enteric (rumen) fermentation with other sources from soils and manure.

Fond du Lac County 4-H LEGO Club Builds More Than Bricks

This fall, Fond du Lac County 4-H added a new youth club to the mix: LEGO Club! LEGO club was born when 4-H Program Educator Tracy Keifenheim discovered that a few counties around the state had begun their own programs. Keifenheim approached FDL Co 4-H youth leader Noah H, and Noah jumped at the opportunity to help form the club. Over the summer months, Noah and Keifenheim worked out specifics surrounding club meetings, topics, meeting locations and duration, etc. As the plans developed Noah approached another youth leader, Makayla S, to help with the club.
