Dear SUA Families,
Today, SUA celebrated an exciting National Signing Day with four of our student-athletes who signed commitments to continue their academic and athletic pursuits at the college level:
- Payton Donnelly, Golf, Northern Michigan University
- Haley Glass, Softball, University of Akron
- Paiton Russell, Lacrosse, Eastern Michigan
- Anna Steinmetz, Track, University of Toledo
We are proud of each of these girls and the dedication each one has to her respective sport. Thank you to the parents and siblings, coaches, teammates, and athletic trainers who supported the girls through the years!

Two-Hour Delay on Monday
Because of our Faculty and Staff in-service meeting on Monday, November 14, we will have a two-hour delay. Classes start at 10:00 a.m. Please know that our doors will still open at 7:00 a.m. for any student who needs to be dropped off at the regular time.

School Closing/Delay for Inclement Weather
If Sylvania Schools are closed or delayed, St. Ursula Academy will be closed or delayed accordingly. Radio and television stations will not mention St. Ursula by name for weather-related delays or closings.

Freshman Retreat
The Freshman Class Retreat will be held Friday, November 18, 2022, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Ursuline Center (4045 Indian Road Toledo, OH 43606), located next to SUA. This retreat will serve as the perfect opportunity for your daughters to grow closer as a class. During the retreat, students will build friendships with one another and God through fun activities and faith formation experiences. Through these experiences, we hope that the students develop a sense of what it means to be a member of the SUA community and seek to grow in their relationship with God as the adventure of high school truly begins.
We will provide lunch for the day. Students do not have to wear their uniforms and should dress comfortably to take part in various activities throughout the day. If you have questions, please contact Campus Minister Mrs. Pelz at lpelz@toledosua.org.

Christmas Celebration at the Zoo
Tickets for SUA's Christmas Celebration at the Toledo Zoo are on sale now! The event is on Saturday, December 10, with Freshmen and Sophomores starting at 5:30-6:00 p.m. and Juniors and Seniors starting from 6:30-7:00 p.m.
Students can buy tickets from Student Council members during lunch and seminar. Tickets are $50 after November 8. The ticket includes a parking pass, ticket to the Lights Before Christmas event, and entrance into the Great Hall with appetizers and a DJ.

Best of Toledo Voting
SUA has received nominations for Toledo City Paper's "Best of Toledo" awards in three categories—Best High School, Best Private School, and Best Local Theater Group for our Performing Arts program!
We wouldn't have received these nominations without the help of our constituents! Everyone in our Arrow community—students, alumnae, faculty and staff, parents, and friends—are the reason St. Ursula Academy is one of "Toledo's Best."

Attention Winter Athletes and Families
On Wednesday, November 16, the Athletic Department and the Arrows Booster Club will host a Winter Pre-Season Celebration beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Field House. Come meet the Basketball, Swimming, Gymnastics, and Dance teams and coaches! The Dance team will perform, and food will be provided afterward.
