To my SWEAT peeps...

Hello Family!   Before we get into the SWEAT news, I wanted to share something with you that I read this morning with my coffee and quiet time.

"No matter your age, your brain.....like your muscles...grows through novelty  and nutrition, so try something new each day.   No joke.  Like every day commit to this.  After all, we are given this life to try and figure it out and it doesn't last forever.    Besides, life can get really boring if you continue to stay within the limits of what you already know.  If you see something that inspires you, try it!   Try it once to get over the fear of it.   Try it again to learn it.   Try it a third time to decide if you like it or not. The comfort zone is nice but not much grows there.  The beauty may be in the butterfly but the transformation happens in the cocoon.  It's true.  The caterpillar has to be willing to take a risk in order to become something more. It sometimes  feels like a struggle but ends in freedom, empowerment, and a new zest in your life.  You'll be surprised.   Try it with me."

I hope your cleaning up the last remains of the 2019  Goal list, spending time on you and your new list.   We are only days away from 2020.....

SWEAT News...
As we get ready to move into another New Year, I'd like to ask for any feedback you have as to what SWEAT can do to make 2020 an even better year than the last.  There's no judgement.  Every opinion will be heard.  Do you have suggestions for a class you'd like to see on the schedule?  A particular piece of equipment that would make you happy?  Anything you can think of as we move into another fabulous year together.
Come One, Come All!!
Saturday December 21
9:00 - 10:15 am
I'm sooooo excited for this class!  We are working hard behind the scenes to make this the best whodunnit murder mystery ride ever!

But the more important part of this ride and the true focus is that, through the assistance of Darcy Ravndal, SWEAT has adopted two teenagers in need from Edgewater High School this holiday season.  These two kids are local to our community.  Their struggle to get by day to day is a real issue.  Darcy takes great pride in selecting kids whose hearts are hurting but yet they continue to strive at school and do their very best.

We have been working behind the scenes to secure monetary donations to help not only get them Christmas gifts to wake up to on Christmas morning but also to feed them while they are on the long holiday break.   These kids  receive free meals through school  and without that service for over two weeks, they may not know where or when their next meal might  be.   We are taking that worry off of their shoulders.

The next part of our mission is to give them a magical Christmas by securing a few items off of their wish list so they feel the gift of "things" and "items" that others get so freely at this time of year.   We have a boy that is 16 and a girl that is 17.  The items on their wish lists are things our kids have in surplus...football, sweater, shoes, duffle bag to name a few.  Their wish items are up on the grafitti board and we will be tracking which items we receive as they come in.  If you'd like either of their list items, text me and I'll be sure to send to you.  And if you'd like to contribute, it doesn't have to necessarily be anything off their list.  You can think out of the box and put fun twists on the basics - who doesn’t like cozy socks or jammies, notepads and gel pens,  nice-smelling toiletries.  The possibilities are endless.  If you are interested in donating, you may drop it off anytime between now and the day of the ride.  I will package and wrap it all up, get it to Darcy and she will deliver it to the kids.

Come get your last chance workout before the festivities begin!
