It's titled "A Breath of Fresh Air" in reference to new beginnings at River City. Big shout-out to Art 180, muralist Nadd Harvin, RCMS art teachers, Dr. Ram Bhagat, and our student artists for creating this beautiful and healing mural!

- I would like to shout out the parents of Maymont Preschool Center. We had an awesome field day and could not have done it without you.
- I'd like to say thanks to our incredible crew chief, Tyrelle Williamson, at Oak Grove-Bellemeade Elementary! He does everything with a smile on his face and maximum positivity. Mr. Williamson is on top of everything, always 5 steps ahead of our needs, and helpful to the students, staff, and parents. We see you, Mr. Williamson, and we appreciate you so very much.
- Shout out to Ms. Lee Resnick at Oak Grove-Bellemeade Elementary! She keeps us organized and informed about everything going on here. Her flyers and graphics are eye-catching and always right on time. Ms. Resnick, thanks for all the extra work you do around OGB to make life easier for all of us. Your efforts do not go unnoticed!
- Kudos to Dr. Tabatha Spurlock and Ms. Chloe McFarland, CTE teachers at Boushall Middle, for being selected as presenters for PBIScon22. The title of their presentation is "Connecting PBIS Rewards and CTE through Volunteerism and Peer Mentoring."
- Shout out to Mr. Williamson at Oak Grove-Bellemeade Elementary!! He is one of my favorite parts of the day with his energy, smile and kindness. Both the teachers and students love him and he definitely makes OGBES a better place. We are so thankful for everything he does for our school! He is amazing!
- Congratulations to the first grade team and first graders at Overby-Sheppard Elementary School who represented Richmond Public Schools and Overby-Sheppard well at the Children's Museum of Virginia during a recent field trip. The Children's Museum was so impressed that they called Principal Holeman to give us kudos on our enthusiasm, calmness, organizational skills and involvement of our chaperones. Keep up the excellent work, Overby!
- Shout out to Principal Smith, Mr. Devaughn, Nurse Farina, Mrs. Santiago, Dr. Peebles, Ms. Rogers, Ms. Johnson, Ms. Cooper, the resource team and the entire staff for their support with the PE program and Amaze Day here at Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts! Being new and coming into the school mid-year was a daunting task but with everyone's help and support I had a great first year. I also want to give a huge shout out to the parents and PTA for all the support and gratitude they've shown me. Especially the support for Amaze Day! It's the first school I've worked at with the most amazing parent and PTA support! Looking forward to next year.
- Shout out to the support staff at Oak Grove-Bellemeade! Thank you to our school counselors, Ms. Faison and Mrs. Jenkins, our school social worker, Mrs. Olds, and our CIS coordinators, Ms. Brown and Mrs. Valenza, for their continued efforts all school year to support staff, students, and families through a variety of challenges and successes. Greeting students in the morning, Friday dance parties, home visits, putting out fires, encouraging and celebrating students, and building authentic relationships! Thanks for all you do!
- A huge shout out to Ms. McKay at Lucille Brown Middle School! Happy Birthday!!! Thanks for all your support!!
- I’d like to give a shout out to Ms. Upton at Henderson Middle School. While doing her best to cover the science curriculum with her scholars, she also makes it a point to tell them that their worth is not in grades or test scores. She reminds them that they are whole people with gifts that can’t be measured by numbers and graphs. We are so grateful!
- Shout out to Mrs. Keo at J.B. Fisher not only for all you do to support our students and teachers in math, but also all of the ideas you come up with to make school fun. You are amazing and we appreciate you so much!
