Volunteer -- Golden Grizzlies Pantry

The Golden Grizzlies Pantry believes that students should focus on their education instead of whether or not they can afford their next meal. In 2022 alone, they distributed 12,336 pounds of food and personal care items to those in need. The pantry relies on volunteers to complete this work and meet the needs of the Oakland University community. You can get involved by signing up to volunteer in the pantry or host a drive to keep the shelves stocked with their most in-demand items. The mission of The Joanne and Ted Lindsay Foundation Autism Outreach Services (OUCARES) is to improve the quality of life of individuals impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) by offering quality and comprehensive programs across the lifespan. There are weekly in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities and a one-day, in-person Family Fun Day volunteer opportunity on Sat, March 18th. International Shadowing -- Atlantis

This Summer Atlantis's medical shadowing programs. We've recently added programs in new cities, such as Venice, Italy; Coimbra, Portugal; Ponferrada, Spain; and Warsaw, Poland.
We are accepting applications for our summer programs and have an exciting opportunity for students for January. Students at Oakland University who apply by January 27th will receive a $300 flight credit for a Summer 2023 Atlantis program.

Study Abroad -- OU Pre-Medical Studies in Puebla, Mexico
| |
Spend eight weeks from May - July in Puebla, Mexico, strengthening your medical school application while developing the clinical skills and intercultural competency needed to succeed in the medical field.
Experience clinical education and medical rotations at a public university and hospital in Puebla, Mexico. You will work directly with medical professionals and patients, enhancing your application to medical school while gaining proficiency in Spanish and learning the particulars of another country’s healthcare system.
The program runs May 22 – July 14, 2023.
