Weekly Member Memo - May 10, 2022

Last week we were on a segment of Good Morning Phoenix thanks to the efforts of Mysty Stewart and her PR connections. It was quick, but we shared our website, details about the direct flight from Phoenix and simply invited folks to come visit!

If so, we need YOU to send Martin@wineroad.com a photo (square format) and about 80-90 words of text. When a customer scrolls over the photo and clicks, it opens up and tells them all about the member.  We change these every other Tuesday. In April the homepage had 8000+ views.

ADA Compliant Websites

Join us May 11th from 9:00-10:00 at the Hilton Garden Inn for an informational presentation to help members get their websites updated to be ADA compliant.

Wine Road Will Be There

Wine Road will have a tent at the Grand Tasting May 21, at the new Healdsburg Wine & Food Experience.

 

We will be offering sparkling wine from several of our member wineries and talking about our Wine & Food Affair event in November as well as sharing details about our new Insider club.

 

We hope this event introduces Wine Road to new wine buyers from across the country, so we can direct them to YOUR doors.

We have an event calendar with very little happening and a page of lodgings specials...with just a couple of specials. We are driving traffic to those pages via our consumer newsletter, so we'd love to see more

offers/events.

 

Varietal of the Month

We are now collecting Cabernet Sauvignon for our June "Varietal of the Month". Please drop a bottle at the office by this Friday.  We do a monthly review of 6-8 wines each month for our 50,000 subscribers.

If you swing by and we are not in the office you can leave a bottle in the map box outside of our office door.

 

The Varietal of the Month goes to all of our subscribers (50,000+) and averages a

GROUPS OF 10 OR MORE - Can you handle groups of 10 or more?  We are currently seeing a non-stop stream of requests from visitors wanting to visit wineries as a group. We need to know all of the place we can refer them.  Please fill out this simple Google Sheet with the group size you can accommodate, the contact at the winery and cost for guests. The power of our Wine Road Podcast.

Last week while having lunch at the Dry Creek General store, a couple stopped by my table as they were leaving.

The man asked if I worked for the Wine Road.

He said he recognized my voice - he's an avid podcast listener!

Michael and his wife Kathy were visiting from Austin.

He LOVES our podcast and checked out many of the wineries we have featured on our show and visited the restaurants we suggested.
