Justin,
We want to thank the staff and faculty members of the Workday Student team for their tireless efforts on the Workday implementation project. The members of this team have gone above and beyond their normal duties, including many late nights and weekends, to make this project possible.
Special thanks for our current progress thus far goes to colleagues from the Registrar’s Office, Academic Affairs, Admission, Financial Aid, Enrollment Services, Student Life, Rhodes Express, Information Services, Institutional Research, Athletics, Campus Scheduling, Health Services, Development, Communications, and other groups working to build data integrations and configure security for the project.
The Workday Student project represents a major technological transformation for Rhodes. Having a fully integrated, modern student information platform will streamline our business processes, help secure our data and allow students, faculty, and staff to navigate our many cross-college systems more smoothly.
We are closer than ever to having Workday Student integrated across campus, but we have much more to do before students are able to register for classes and see their grades in Workday. Workday Student testing began on October 24, 2022. Training for students, faculty, and staff is slated for early 2023, and we will officially go live on the new system in March 2023 when we conduct advising and registration activities.
As a community, it is essential that we give our colleagues grace and, most importantly, the support that they need to go live with Workday Student. Staff on Workday Student teams may be slower than usual to respond to queries or requests, so we ask that you please be patient with each group. You or your team members may be asked to attend training sessions or assist with the project in several ways, including testing, validating data, consulting on business processes, or updating students or colleagues on the state of the project.
This campus-wide transformation effort will require all of us, working together, to successfully navigate implementation and go live. We would like to thank you for all of your support as we approach the culmination of this critically important project.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Collins
President
