We are also retaining an outside expert to conduct an independent review of the remarks made by Stan Richards and the context and history within which they occurred. This experienced investigator will be conducting research, gathering information, and conducting interviews in the coming weeks to inform their report. We will soon share details of this review and how to contact them with information you may wish to share.
We know there are many strong feelings and opinions on this issue, and that many in our community are feeling pain and/or anger as a result. We acknowledge these feelings and commit to doing everything we can to remain true to our shared values, now and in the future.
We strongly confirm our commitment to creating and sustaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for everyone in Moody College and in our School for Advertising and Public Relations. We stand firmly for multiculturalism and we are against racism, sexism, white supremacy, and bigotry of all kinds. More information about our values, commitments and actions can be found at our diversity webpage here.
Please continue to reach out with your thoughts and feelings and we will do our best to keep everyone informed. Thank you for your understanding and patience as our process moves forward.
