Campus Mask Update

In compliance with state law and the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling, UTHSC is withdrawing the mandatory indoor mask requirement effective immediately on all our campuses in non-patient care areas. However, the University strongly encourages everyone to wear a mask indoors while on campus to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

 

UTHSC-operated clinics (e.g. Dentistry, Audiology and Speech Pathology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and University Health Services) and our patient-care building (Dunn Dental Building) must continue with CMS masking and social distancing requirements for patient care areas as UTHSC’s review of the regulatory CMS requirements for these clinics is ongoing.

Volunteers Needed for COVID-19 Testing

University Clinical Health is in need of volunteers for its drive-through COVID-19 testing site on the Memphis campus. Volunteers do not need to be clinically trained to act as a “collector” – training will be provided onsite upon arrival.

 

The COVID-19 testing site is located at the Van Vleet Building, 3 N. Dunlap Street, on the Memphis campus, and operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. 

 

Sign up for volunteer shifts on GivePulse. New shifts through Friday, February 25, have been added! Please note that testing will take place outside. We encourage volunteers to monitor the weather and dress accordingly.

Flu and COVID-19 Vaccines (including Boosters) Available at University Health Services

University Health Services (UHS) has flu and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine available for employees and students. The vaccine is in limited supply and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. UHS is supplying all doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of where you are in the series. UHS is located on the 9th floor of the 910 Madison Building on the Memphis campus.

 

Flu vaccinations can be self-scheduled on the UHS patient portal. COVID-19 vaccination appointments must be scheduled by UHS staff due to the difference in preparation. Please call UHS at 901.448.5630 to schedule your appointment.

First Thursdays are Back at the Library

First Thursdays return at Health Sciences Library on the Memphis campus! The Library will have free snacks for students on the first Thursday of every month starting at 2:00 pm from February through May. Join us on Thursday, February 3, at 2:00 pm to fuel your brain and your body as you study!
