It was a successful first day for the DCHS boys and girls teams competing in the state track & field meet at Drake Stadium May 19-21. Results are available online. Best of luck to those competing on Friday and Saturday! Go Maroons!

Rising Sophomore and Juniors: Save the Date for the PSAT
The Preliminary SAT (PSAT) will take place on Oct. 12 at DCHS. The PSAT is optional/not required. The test will start at 8:15 am (those who sign up will receive details and will be excused from class). Please click here for more information. The cost is $30. Online signup/payment is required by noon on Sept. 14. Please watch for a link to be shared in the coming weeks if your student is interested in taking the exam.
Des Moines University Virtual High School Summit 
DMU is providing a Virtual High School Summit on June 16 from 9 am -12 pm for students interested in exploring career opportunities in health sciences and the path to graduate school. Please register online
Iowa Seal of Biliteracy
The DCHS World Language Department is proud to announce that 55 students have completed the rigorous process to earn the Iowa Seal of Biliteracy this spring. The seal recognizes students who have attained proficiency in two or more languages, one of which is English, by high school graduation. The attainment of biliteracy becomes part of the high school transcript and diploma. Ut Fidem Coordinator (Male) 
DCHS has an opening for a full-time male Ut Fidem Coordinator to disciple mentors and students. This position is primarily responsible for helping students foster relationships with Christ and supporting them in keeping the faith for the rest of their lives, especially through college. Interested candidates should please submit the following: Cover letter (attn. Ms. Addie Magruder, Ut Fidem Coordinator), resume, three letters of recommendation, and transcripts. School Lunches - 2022-2023 School Year
The free school meals program is anticipated to end June 30, 2022. To apply for free or reduced school meals, please fill out an application this school year. If you qualify, that food benefit will be in place for the first 30 operating days of the fall 2022-2023 semester. Applications can be found in OnCampus under the Cafeteria tile or in the food service office in the cafeteria. In the fall, all students who do not have a food benefit in place will be expected to pay for all food items.
Basketball Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to help with the scoreboard or shot clock at home games next year. Please contact Mike O'Connor if interested.
