THE ST. B'S WEEKLY
CONNECTING WHO WE ARE
TO WHAT WE DO
June 29, 2022, after Pentecost
The children of St. B's spent three glorious days exploring the Sea of Galilee last week and hearing about the wonderful things Jesus has done. From spending denari in the Marketplace to eating authentic foods, it was an immersive adventure. Special thanks to the 456 tribal guides as well as the youth and adults volunteers who pitched in and made it possible.
Fourth Sunday After Pentecost
Holy Eucharist, 9:30 a.m.
This Sunday, join us for Holy Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. Intercessory prayer will be available in person for anyone who would like to be prayed for or pray with others. The service will be live-streamed and available on-demand later in the morning. Masks are optional at both services. KN95 masks are available for anyone who would like to wear one.
For Families: The nursery will open at 9:15 a.m. for ages 0–3 years, and the service will include a children's homily for 3 yrs–6th grade.
St. Bartholomew's is a praying people. We might say that prayer — in particular praying for others — runs in our veins. The pandemic closed down one of St. B's long standing means of intercession, the prayer desk. This ministry has just re-launched and we are seeking to re-build our prayer desk team. For those feeling called or the nudge to pray with and for others, please email Pam MacArthur.
THE MUSIC MINISTRY IS RECRUITING
Instrumentalists and vocalists of all stripes are encouraged to come out for the Music Ministry of St. B's! We are always recruiting for the band — guitar, bass, drums, piano — as well as soprano/alto/tenor singers. Other instruments desired as well, to bring their own unique flavor to the mix. We are especially in need of drummers at this time. If you are interested, even if unsure, please contact David Madeira, Director of Music at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ST B'S SOCCER
Registration opens July 5 for St. B's soccer's fall season (Sept. 13 to Oct. 22). There are divisions for preK–5th grade with practices on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m.–6:45 p.m. and games on Saturdays from 9:15 a.m.–10:30 a.m. St B’s families are guaranteed a spot if they register by July 10. After that date, all reserved spots will be open to the general public. Questions? email@example.com

FOR THE RECTOR SEARCH
Almighty God, giver of every good gift; look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a rector for St. Bartholomew’s that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer, p. 818)
FOR THE GENERAL CONVENTION
We invite you to join in praying for the General Convention, the governing body of the Episcopal Church. Lay members, clergy, and bishops gather every three years to support the mission and ministry of the church by adopting legislation, amending the Book of Common Prayer, and conducting the business of the church. The 80th General Convention will meet in Baltimore July 7–14, 2022.
Almighty and everliving God, source of all wisdom and understanding, be present with those who take counsel in the General Convention of the Episcopal Church for the renewal and mission of your Church. Teach us in all things to seek first your honor and glory. Guide us to perceive what is right, and grant us both the courage to pursue it and the grace to accomplish it; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer, p. 818)
