During this time, it's normal to feel stressed, anxious and overwhelmed. The University Counseling Center is here to help. Anxiety Management Workshops meet Mondays from 2:30-3:30 pm CST via Zoom. These workshops are focused on concrete skill-building, are free, open to all students, and no sign up is necessary. Click here for more information and Zoom links to each workshop.
Here are some of the upcoming topics the workshops will cover:
02/22/2021: Test Anxiety- Learn concrete skils to use in order to stay calm and effective when preparing for and completing tests.
03/01/2021: Self-Care and Stress Management - Ever felt hangry? Too tired to focus? Learn about the behavioral and biological factors that contribute to stress, what you can do to improve self-care and form a plan to implement change.
3/08/2021: Progressive Muscle Relaxation - Take time out of your busy day to truly relax for an hour! A trained counselor will lead you through calming guided imagery and progressive muscle relaxation. You will also learn how to do this on your own. At the end of this session, you should feel relaxed, focused and ready to face your challenges.
03/15/2021: Improving Focus and Motivation - Struggling to complete your coursework? Spending hours on Netflix? Get concrete coping skills to improve focus and motivation, especially when working from home.
