Orientation Registration and Start
All new incoming international undergraduate students are automatically expected/registered to attend the international student orientation and welcome session beginning the morning of August 21. More details about how to confirm your arrival and upload documents will be shared in upcoming newsletters.
Register for CVG Airport to Campus Shuttle Bus, August 20
A shuttle bus will depart from the Cincinnati Airport (CVG) to Oxford campus at 1:30 pm ET on Sunday, August 20.
International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) recommends students arrange travel to take this transportation. ISSS staff and International Peer Orientation Leaders (iPOLs) will be at the airport to greet students and be available to support arrival and move-in to campus.
If you are planning to take this shuttle, plan to arrive the morning of August 20 to CVG airport or stay overnight in a nearby hotel to take the campus shuttle bus at 1:30 pm ET on August 20.
Friends and family can also purchase bus tickets and accompany students during move-in (use the Miami UniqueID of the student being accompanied to register for ticket(s)). Please note that friends and family can NOT stay in the residence halls and should arrange local place to stay in Oxford.
Check if eligiblefor a Miami Bound Pre-Semester Program
Miami's pre-semester programs, called Miami Bound programs, present opportunities for new students to engage in learning, leading and connecting to Miami and other new students before fall semester classes begin. Miami Bound programs are optional and may require an additional cost to participate.
International Undergraduate Student Miami Bound Eligibility
First Year and Transfer students, who have done any of the following are eligible to register for certain Miami Bound programs if there is availability:
- scheduled an advising appointment
completed placement tests and are planning to schedule an academic advising course registration appointment
- already registered for courses with their academic advisor
Exchange students and ACE students also have the option to register for certain Miami Bound Pre-Semester programs.
Please note that you won't be able to register for a Miami Bound if you still need to complete placement test and meet with academic advising to register for courses during orientation.
