COVID-19 vaccination required for students in fall 2021

Vanderbilt University will require new and returning students to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the 2021–22 academic year. The requirement applies to all undergraduate, graduate and professional students this fall and will be handled in a manner consistent with other Vanderbilt policies governing student vaccine requirements. Accommodations for religious exemptions need to be requested through the Equal Opportunity and Access office. For medical exemptions contact the Student Access office.

Students must submit their COVID-19 vaccination record using the university’s vaccine tracker submission form, even if they received their vaccine from Student Health, Vanderbilt University Medical Center or a VUMC clinic, no later than one week in advance of the first day of classes of the fall academic year. If they do not submit their vaccination record or have an approved (or in-process) accommodation request on file by the deadline, a hold will be placed on their course registration. Students who are not compliant with vaccination requirements may have their Vanderbilt enrollment canceled for the semester.
