Dear Horned Frogs,
The loyalty and spirit of the Texas Christian University community never cease to inspire. We’ve spent recent months preparing campus for our students’ return, and are elated that we will soon be together again.
Our focus remains on the delivery of our academic mission and supporting a healthy environment so our students experience all that TCU offers. I’m proud to say that despite the challenges of the ongoing pandemic, we continue to attract top academic talent in our student body, faculty and staff, and continue to see strong increases in applications and enrollment.
Competing at the highest levels in athletics is a critical ingredient of the TCU experience. Changes happening within the Big 12 conference reaffirm our pride in and commitment to our student-athletes and our winning athletics programs. In fact, competitive athletics positively affects TCU’s national reputation and builds upon our core strengths of academic achievement, scholarly pursuit and an unparalleled student experience.
Because of the loud and spirited support of our community—students, alumni and an ever-expanding fan base—TCU remains well-positioned for growth, success and leadership in intercollegiate athletics. Our many championship wins, and our location in a thriving metropolitan area with nearly 8 million residents doesn’t hurt at all. What I’ve experienced as part of the recent meetings and legislative hearing, and what I have felt as we plan for the future, is pride. Pure and powerful pride for the outpouring of passion for TCU and for our fellow Horned Frogs.
TCU continues to shine because of our connected community of students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, fans and friends. A campus full of bright, talented students pursuing academic achievement and leadership development is the reason we exist.
Sincerely,
Victor J. Boschini, Jr.
