COVID-19 vaccination required for students in fall 2021

Vanderbilt University announced it will require new and returning students to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the 2021–22 academic school year. The requirement applies to all undergraduate, graduate and professional students this fall, and it will be handled in a manner consistent with other university policies governing student vaccine requirements. Accommodations for religious or medical exemptions can be requested through the Student Access office.

Diermeier commends Class of 2021 for leadership during year of adversity

Chancellor Daniel Diermeier thanked the Class of 2021 for their leadership during a year like no other when he spoke at the university’s in-person and virtual Commencement at Vanderbilt Stadium May 15.

Cybele Raver named Vanderbilt provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs

C. Cybele Raver, a distinguished psychologist who serves as deputy provost at New York University, has been named provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Vanderbilt University. Raver will begin her new role July 1.

The Life After Vanderbilt event series launched in spring 2014 to bring to life the annual Life After Vanderbilt Guide, which offers real advice from young alumni to senior students to help them "conquer and prevail" after graduation. We’re here to help seniors navigate their next steps with first jobs, grad school and new cities—and help connect them to their global alumni community!

Follett Higher Education to assume university bookstore operations

Vanderbilt University has entered into an agreement with Follett Higher Education to assume operation of the university’s bookstore at 25th and West End avenues. Follett was selected for its affordable textbook solutions, its technology integrations to support academics, its forward-thinking retail experience and its plan to engage with the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities.
