Find out the latest news and information in Graduate Education at GVSU in less than a minute, brought to you by The Graduate School (TGS): 
  1. The 2021 GVSU Virtual Career and Internship Fair will be held this Thursday, October 7. This is an excellent opportunity for students searching for a job or internship. Register for the event on Handshake to network with over 100 employers!

  2. The Graduate Student Association is holding their first general assembly on Monday, October 18. The assembly will cover GSA events, goals, and will give graduate students the opportunity to share their experiences. Food will also be provided.

  3. Free 2021 GVSU Flu Shot Clinics are now available throughout October at various Grand Rapids and Allendale locations. Students are required to sign up for on-campus clinics. Walk-ins at the GVSU Family Health Center during office hours are welcome.

  4. The Repair Clinic is holding their first session of the academic year on Tuesday, October 19. This service is free to all students who need repairs for broken zippers, backpack straps, missing buttons, and more.

  5. The PACES Resources page was just updated. PACES is a professional development program  that covers professionalism, advancement, communication, engagement, and success. Log on to enhance your academic skill set and become more confident with networking in your field.

  6. Public Health students Emily Pokorski, La’Portia Jackson, Jazzmin McGuff, and Hava Topolski had the amazing opportunity to present at the 14th annual MIPERC Conference Webinar.

The Graduate School has developed a list of resources for students that includes physical health, mental health, sexual health, and more.

October 18, 2021: First GSA Assembly from 4-7 p.m. in the University Club
October 19, 2021: Repair Clinic from 6-8 p.m. in Holton Hooker Multipurpose Room
November 1, 2021: Academic Conference Fund opening application date for travel between January 1, 2022 and March 31, 2022 (including virtual conferences)
