Spirit Week Picnic
The Dining Commons will be closed on Friday, Oct. 14. Student Council will provide pizza for the entire school, and each class is assigned to bring in the following items:
Junior Academy—Candy/Desserts
Freshmen—Fruit (individual)
Sophomores—Drinks
Juniors—Chips
Seniors—Paper Products (plates, napkins)

Delayed Start on Monday
Because of our Faculty and Staff in-service meeting on Monday, Oct. 10, we will have a two-hour delay. Classes start at 10:00 a.m. Please know that our doors will still open at 7:00 a.m. for any student who needs to be dropped off at the regular time.

Parking Lot/Traffic Reminder
In the interest of safety and the traffic flow, we ask that you only turn right out of the school parking lot. Also, we ask that you respect our relationship with Sunset House by not turning around in their parking lot.

Breast Cancer Bowl Tickets

Tickets are $7 in advance or $8 cash at the gate on the day of the event.

The 2022 Breast Cancer Bowl is the seventh annual flag football game hosted by St. Ursula Academy, St. John's Jesuit, St. Francis de Sales, and Central Catholic High School! It will take place on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 7:00 p.m. at St. John's Jesuit High School.
All proceeds will go to The Victory Center, an amazing local organization that provides hope and support to cancer patients, survivors, and those closest to them.
SUA/SJJ/SFS are wearing white and CCHS is wearing pink.

Boo Bags—Student Council Fundraiser
Spook your daughter at SUA with a Boo Bag!
Boo Bags include Halloween candy, Halloween pencils, Halloween rings, and other Halloween goodies in a Halloween bag. Each bag costs $5 and will be delivered on Monday, Oct. 31 (Halloween) during Block 5. Be sure to keep it a secret at home so your daughter is surprised!

Upcoming College Programs for Juniors
On Thursday, Oct. 27, an Activities Resume Presentation will be held for students during seminar in the Chapel. Student attendance is required. Students will be instructed on ways to create an activities resume that will be helpful for college applications and college scholarships.
Please RSVP for a College Kick-Off Information Night where we will discuss important next steps for the college planning process. Juniors and parents/guardians are required to attend one of the following sessions:
- Friday, Nov. 4, at 3:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 6:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 5:00 p.m.

Reminders from the Main Office
Label Uniforms and Supplies
Please label all of your daughter's uniform pieces, water bottles, and supplies. If items get lost, this label will allow us to ensure they are returned to the correct student.
School Closing/Delay for Inclement Weather
If Sylvania Schools are closed or delayed, St. Ursula Academy will be closed or delayed accordingly. Radio and television stations will not mention SUA by name for weather-related delays or closings.
Attendance Protocols
All absences must be reported to the attendance line at (419) 329-2222 by 9:00 a.m. This line is available 24 hours a day for messages.
For early dismissals because of appointments, etc., please send a note with your daughter before school starts so that her dismissal can be recorded in PowerSchool well before the appointment time. Runners are not available to retrieve students from classes for last-minute dismissals. Non-driving students will exit the building at the Main doors (near the Welcome Lobby) after signing out in the Attendance Office. Please wait in your car at that door to pick her up. Doctor, dental, etc. notes are required following all appointments.

SUA will be hosting college visits this fall. Students are asked to register within 12 hours of the visit. Below is a list of upcoming visits.

Fall Athletics Update
The Cross Country team placed second at the Clay Eagle Invitational. This week, the team competes in the Fostoria Invitational.
The Golf team competes in the OHSAA Sectional tournament this week and in the District tournament next week.
Varsity Tennis lost to Perrysburg in the OTCA Regional Semi-Final. The team begins OHSAA tournament play at Fremont this week.
Varsity Soccer defeated Clay 5-0. Scoring for the Arrows were Katy Gruber (2), Izzy Nitschke, Addi Turski, and Emma Helminski. Monday, both the JV and Varsity tied Perrysburg 0-0. Both teams travel to Findlay on Wednesday before hosting Ashland on Saturday.
All three Volleyball teams defeated Lima Senior in conference play this week. This week, the Arrows play Tiffin Calvert at BGSU and Whitmer at home before traveling to Columbus to take on Walsh Jesuit and Bishop Watterson. On Monday, all three teams host Notre Dame Academy.
