If you have diabetes, you’re certainly not alone: About 1 in 10 Americans live with the disease.* But sometimes you might feel alone. That ends now!

Shared medical appointments are here. They’re a unique opportunity to:

1. Spend extra time with a diabetes specialist. With shared medical appointments (also called group appointments), 10 to 15 patients with diabetes gather at the MNPS Employee Wellness Center for 60-90 minutes. Each attendee spends one-on-one time with an endocrinologist to review their treatment plan and address personal concerns and questions.
2. Get support from others who face similar challenges. A facilitator also attends, sharing information and encouraging group conversation among peers.
3. Learn about the latest and greatest. During the session, we’ll make sure you’re up to date on the most innovative tools, resources and treatments available.

Specialist charges apply for support employees with Cigna or BCBS coverage.

Certificated employees in the teachers' health plan can participate at no cost.
