President’s Message
Dear Lumberjack Families,
We hope this letter finds you well.
Due to the continued challenges resulting from COVID-19, NAU has made the difficult decision to transition our fall 2020 commencement ceremony for November graduates to a virtual format. The virtual ceremony is scheduled for November 22, 2020.
An alternate in-person commencement ceremony that had been planned for May 2020 graduates has been canceled. We appreciate having had the opportunity to celebrate with many of our May graduates virtually.
We know this is difficult news, especially for students who have worked hard to complete their degrees at a time of unimaginable stress and continued challenges. We know family and friends have looked forward to celebrating their loved ones' accomplishments in person, and we share your disappointment. All of us at NAU cherish our commencement ceremonies and the opportunity to celebrate our graduates together in Flagstaff, and we wish we had better news.
However, we are looking forward to celebrating with fall 2020 graduates in a virtual format. In the upcoming weeks, graduates will receive information regarding how they can participate in the November 22 virtual ceremony, receive their Virtual Grad Fest information, and opt into receiving their virtual graduation kit and other important commencement information.
On behalf of the Lumberjack community, we want you to know how proud we are of all of your achievements, your resilience, and your perseverance. We look forward to celebrating our graduates at our virtual commencement later this fall.
Sincerely,
