We invite all veterans to join in, meet other veterans from the area and share whatever is on your mind. Planes of Fame Executive Director Jerry Wilkins will host, complimentary refreshments will be served and museum admission is waived for attending Veterans and their guests.

Our ongoing presentation series, "Rare Birds", will feature another of the Museum's aircraft treasures. This informative presentation will start at 10:30am in the Museum Theater.

Sit in the Cockpit of a P-51 Mustang! Sat. August 25th

Ever wonder what it feels like to sit in the cockpit of one of America’s most famous warbirds? Here’s a chance for you and up to 3 of your guests to put yourself in the pilot’s seat of Planes of Fame Air Museum’s P-51D Mustang “Spam Can”. The Planes of Fame Open Cockpit Day gives members the chance to explore the exciting field of aviation by getting up close and personal with this historic aircraft.
Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Lifetime members are invited to join us August 25, 2018 for a presentation on the P-51D Mustang with complimentary coffee, juice, pastries, and more. Planes of Fame Pilot and Volunteer, Tom Nightingale will assist each person into the cockpit, explain the controls and answer any questions. Memories won’t stop there! Attendees will have their picture taken and the souvenir photo emailed to them. Not a Silver or above Member? You can upgrade your membership to add your name to the guest list.
