MASON BOYS AND GIRLS TRACK & FIELD TEAMS SWEEP OHSAA SUPER REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

MASON, OHIO — The Mason High School Track & Field program delivered a historic performance at the OHSAA Division I Super Regional, as both the Comet boys and girls teams captured team championships and qualified numerous athletes for the OHSAA State Championships at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University.

Competing over three days on May 19, May 28, and May 30, the Mason boys claimed the Super Regional title with 107 points, while the Mason girls followed with a dominant first-place finish of their own, scoring 110 points.

The championship was the fourth regional title in program history for the Mason boys, while the girls added another remarkable chapter to their tradition of excellence by securing the 16th regional championship in program history.

The Mason boys showcased their depth and talent across the track and field events, earning the program's fourth regional crown and advancing a strong contingent of athletes to the state meet.

GIRLS WIN 16TH REGIONAL TITLE

The Mason girls turned in another championship performance, capturing the program's 16th regional title with 110 points while producing six regional champions and multiple additional state qualifiers.

The outstanding performances by both programs continue Mason's tradition as one of Ohio's premier track and field schools. The Comets produced seven regional championships while qualifying numerous individuals and relay teams for the OHSAA State Championships, where they will compete next weekend in Columbus at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
