Bidding Farewell to Student Board Member

For the past year, Emily Rahman, a rising senior at McGavock High School in the Aegis sciences Academy of Life Science and Law, has held a seat on PENCIL's Board of Directors. The first student to sit on the board, Emily brought a unique and valuable perspective to the group.

New Partnership Manager Joins the PENCIL Family

PENCIL is excited to introduce Darius Moore, the new Partnership Manager for the Northwest Quadrant of Metro Nashville Public Schools.

Darius' role consists of working with individuals, businesses, and organizations within the Nashville community to develop, maintain, and grow relationships & partnerships for Metro Nashville Public Schools — specifically in the Northwest quadrant. Darius will work with teachers, faculty, and school leadership; to advocate on behalf of students. His job is to make sure that the schools he serves are connected with the proper business Partner(s) to obtain the resources they need to succeed.

We believe that public Education is everyone's business and our mission is to link community resources to Nashville public schools to help young people achieve academic success and prepare for life.
