Wildcat Venture Partners' Scholarship in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Wildcat Venture Partners is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies developing breakout solutions to high-value problems. In recognition of its partnership with CMU, Wildcat is proud to offer two Scholarships in Entrepreneurship and Innovation for the Academic Year 2016-2017.
Carnegie Mellon University Graduate Students:
The Wildcat Venture Partners’ Scholarship in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is a one-time gift of $5K to support a promising graduate student entrepreneur. Wildcat will award scholarships to two candidates that successfully exhibit the following qualifications:
• Completion of at least the first year of a graduate program at Carnegie Mellon University.
• Good academic standing. We look for applicants who have demonstrated academic excellence, curiosity and creativity in some area of entrepreneurship. We look for graduate students who have challenged themselves with their academic programs and who demonstrate a passion for learning.
• Evidence of pursuing an entrepreneurial path such as membership in the Graduate Entrepreneurship Club (GEC), selection as a Swartz Entrepreneurial Fellow, or starting his or her own venture.
• Interests in Wildcat’s thesis areas which include: IoT, Marketplaces, Digital Health, EdTech, FinTech, Marketing Technology, Enterprise and Consumer.
The Scholarships are open to both domestic and international students enrolled at any CMU campus.
The deadline to apply is Friday, September 9, 2016 at 5 PM PST/8 PM EST.
