How do you do what you do?
Yesterday in a "Corona catch-up" conversation with author Jennifer Dale, we learned that many of her associates and colleagues have been reaching out to ask for tips and guidance for doing online qualitative research.
A pioneer in doing research online, Jen, with the help of her Canadian colleague Susan Abbott, literally wrote the go-to book on this topic. Jen also teaches online research for the Marketing Research Program, offered through Michigan State University's Broad College of Business.
In the same conversation we discussed the paradox that while this is a great time for learning new skills, many of our colleagues are rightly concerned about the economic situation. In an effort to respond to that reality we are implementing price reductions for the Kindle edition of Qual-Online (now $9.99) and we have reduced the PMP price for print copies of this must-have guide (now $19.95).

Author Interview

Earlier this week, PMP author and strategist Joe Kutchera interviewed our newest author, Ryan Frederick about his new book, The Founder's Manual. If you don't have time to watch the entire 30-minute interview, we recommend a few salient segments:
  • One beginning roughly around the 13:40 minute mark discusses a massive shift in organizational thinking away from valuing what they know toward a focus on what they can learn from their customers.
  • Another can be found around the 22:40 mark where the author shares thoughts about "underestimated Founders."
  • Before concluding the interview, around the 25:30 mark, Kutchera asks Ryan about his work with organizations including StartupGrind, a now-global support organization for Founders, and i.c.stars—a program that has helped underestimated founders, including under-employed adults, to unlock their hidden potential.
