Art Show
Thea Gahr is our artist for the months of August and September. Thea has been printmaking for over 15 years and works with collectives in both Mexico and US.  She is a part of Justseeds Artists’ Cooperative, Escuela de Cultura Popular Martires del 68, Colectivo Cordyceps, and La Furia de Las Calles. She is currently living and working on her family farm in rural Oregon and keeps connected with the groups that she is part of.
This series of 4 large linoleum and woodcut are curated from projects of the last couple years, including: "Spring Rising" an image made for the Just Seeds art show in Milwaukee called "Uprising: images of labor": and "We make our way" a print from Slovenia Graphic Biennial Installation: Refuge. All are hand printed on cloth. If you haven't had the chance to see the show yet please stop by during store hours.
Jaime
It’s with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of one of our absolutely wonderful, dedicated members -- Jaime.
She passed away in her sleep from complications of COPD the morning of Sunday, August 10th. Jaime was one of the most sincere, thoughtful, upbeat, amiable, generous, encouraging, compassionate, and humble people we have ever met. She was an avid bike rider who cycled to her In Other Words shifts from Battle Ground, Washington , and an amazing individual that showed so much passion, perseverance, and has touched so many people’s lives.
