Inaugural Back to School Breakfast

We are thrilled to announce that our first Back to School Breakfast was a huge success! There were 60 tables filled with almost 500 people who helped us raise more than $29,000 over budget to support our work.

We are truly overwhelmed by the support and we look forward to another great event next year!

PENCIL kicked off the Back to School Season with the official Grand Opening of the brand new LP PENCIL Box on July 12th. Teachers were invited to shop the new space for the first time!

LP PENCIL BOX FEATURED DURING TITANS GAMEDAY DRIVE

PENCIL will participate in a Tennessee Titans GAMEDAY DRIVE this fall!

Sunday, September 16, 2018

Game attendees are invited to drop off donations on their way into the stadium to support the LP PENCIL Box. Collection locations will be positioned outside of Nissan Stadium to collect donated items, the most needed of which are pencil boxes, paper towels, backpacks, construction paper, notebook paper, art supplies, tissue boxes and classroom cleaning supplies.

PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY - OCTOBER 24

Principal for a Day is an exclusive, invitation-only event that offers the opportunity for PENCIL Partners, donors, business and community leaders to spend the morning with a Metro principal.

As a Principal for a Day, you will meet the school's students and staff throughout the morning in a series of activities unique to each school. The day concludes with a luncheon for principals and their guests. We want our city's leaders to see the great things happening within our schools as we work to change the dialogue about public education in Nashville.

Those who support PENCIL at the $500 and above giving level receive priority access to this event.
