We lose an average of a half pound of muscle each year after the age of 25.

Not because of age, but because of hormones and inactivity. If you are inactive, you lose muscle tissue. Less muscle means less blood flow to the muscle. And less blood flow means less protein synthesis, thus muscle is lost.

But until you’re 93 (like this guy), you have no excuse with resistance training.

Even more surprising than the fact that he is 93 is that he started his resistance training at 87!

I’ve worked with clients up into their 90s and while they haven’t stopped aging yet, they certainly have slowed the process. You’re never “too old” to see the benefits of resistance training, and you aren’t too young to start!
