Orange County has partnered with Lumos Fiber to bring high-speed fiber internet service to rural areas of Orange County. Hear from Lumos representatives about the service and when it will be in your area on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 pm at the Cedar Grove Community Center at 5800 Hwy 86N, Hillsborough.

Veterans Day Ceremony to be Held Friday, Nov. 10 |
A special ceremony commemorating Veterans Day will be held at the Orange County Veterans Memorial on Friday, Nov. 10 at 11 am at 2501 Homestead Rd., Chapel Hill.
Congresswoman Valerie Foushee will speak at the ceremony, and Dr. Mark Clodfelter will be the guest speaker.

Longterm Homeowners Assistance (LHA) Deadline is November 15 |
The LHA program helps eligible homeowners cover the Orange County portion of 2023 property taxes. All applications must be received by 5:00 PM on November 15 to allow time for processing.

Health Department Invites the Public to Listening Sessions to Identify Health Priorities |
During the listening sessions, health department staff will share highlights from the recent Community Health Assessment Opinion survey and other information. Listening session attendees will have the opportunity to share comments and vote on health priority areas for the county.
The listening session dates, times, and locations are as follows:
