Alumni Jeff Hanway ’09, P’25; Kegan Hanway ’10, P’25; and Kaitlin Chandler ’11 aim to promote inclusivity, curiosity, and community in their new bookstore. The trio launched Grit City Books earlier this year as an online storefront and are planning to open a brick-and-mortar location near campus in 2024.

Logger swimmer Jaden Francis ’25 recently represented Guam at the Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands. Francis swam in 12 events, finishing in the top 10 in the 100-meter and 200-meter butterfly, the 400-meter individual medley, the 4x50-meter medley relay mix, and the 4x100-meter freestyle relay.

The Logger men's and women's basketball teams defeated cross-town rival Pacific Lutheran University in a recent double-header, with the women winning 64-40 and the men beating the Lutes 74-69.

Last week, Occupational Therapy students participated in a Holiday Toy Hack-a-thon, modifying toys to enable children to play with them regardless of their ability level. The project was a collaboration with the Bellingham Makerspace with support from Makers Making Change, and was facilitated by OT alumna Mary Elliot ’93.
