October is Florida’s Greenways and Trails Month and also the official state camping month. In honor of October's perfect weather on the coast, the St. George Island State Park is hosting several outdoor family events. Unless otherwise noted, the programs are free with paid park entry. Sea Turtles – Our Oldest Visitors Saturday, October 4, 10am. Learn about sea turtles through fun filled activities. Participants should bring drinking water, sunscreen, and dress for the beach. Cast Iron Campfire Cooking

Heralded as the State’s oldest maritime event, this annual fall classic is a celebration of the Franklin County commercial seafood industry.
