Mayor's Monarch Pledge ProclamationThe Mayors’ Monarch Pledge proclamation was made at a recent city council meeting. This is a way to bring awareness to the important role that monarch butterflies play in our environment. As the proclamation states, “every resident of Wheat Ridge can make a difference for the monarch by planting native milkweed and nectar plants to provide habitat for the monarch and pollinators”. The City of Wheat Ridge is dedicated to making sure these important pollinators thrive in our city.
Stay up to date with Sustainable Wheat Ridge.

New Art Installation at Clear Creek Crossing DevelopmentThis piece is called “Agrarian Calling” by artist Tiimo Mang and was installed on Clear Creek Crossing Drive near the new hospital across from the new apartments. This silo shaped art piece is approximately 52 ft high and has steel chimes that introduce the element of sound. This area is still under some construction; however, you can still go by to check out the new art.
“Agarian Calling” was carefully selected through a public art selection committee that was formed. This committee went through a rigorous process of developing criteria, reviewing submissions, and ultimately selecting an artist and piece to recommend for approval. The Wheat Ridge Cultural Commission reviewed and approved the recommendation and then Wheat Ridge City Council accepted the proposal.
This is an exciting addition to Wheat Ridge, and the city is looking forward to seeing the Clear Creek Crossing area flourish.

Wadsworth UpdateNorthbound Wadsworth Boulevard looks and feels different these days! Last month, northbound Wadsworth between 41st Avenue and I-70 moved onto the new concrete pavement. Crews will make storm sewer connections and place temporary pavement in the center of Wadsworth this month. It won’t be too long before work will begin on the southbound lanes.
Private utility relocation work is occurring on the west side of Wadsworth. Gas line crews are mostly working nights to bore a new line from 38th Avenue north to 48th Avenue.Wadsworth businesses are open! Construction may impact how access is configured so drivers are asked to follow signs, traffic control devices, and crew instructions when flaggers are present.
Subscribe to receive traffic alerts on the city's website and find updates on What's Up Wheat Ridge. Any community concerns may be directed to the project hotline at 303-390-0878 or email the project team at WadsworthProject@ci.wheatridge.co.us.
