As Director of Athletics, Amy Hackett supports the more than 20% of Puget Sound students who compete across 23 varsity sports. “The skills and attributes student-athletes gain in their athletic experience carries over to the classroom," she says. "It always amazes me how students are eager to manage the load because of the love of their sport and the camaraderie it brings, as well as realizing the value of the educational opportunity provided at Puget Sound.” This year, more than 150 student-athletes will be recognized as Northwest Conference Scholar-Athletes by earning at least a 3.50 grade point average.
