Congratulations to the girls swim and dive team on winning the regional championship last weekend in Fort Dodge! Best of luck to the following DCHS students who qualified to compete at the state meet in Marshalltown on Friday, Nov. 12 and Saturday, Nov. 13: Julia Sweetman, Cassie Rounds, Maggie Carlson,  Annie Honkamp, Anna Huss, Emma Foth, Ryann Rossi, Zarah Worth, Allie Nedved, Abby Wilcox, Berit Kallemeier and Jillian Stewart. Go Maroons! 
The annual Christmas Basket service project kicked off last week. Started more than 50 years ago with the BVM Sisters, DCHS has carried on the tradition of helping families in need during the Christmas season. The project is led by seniors who enlist the help of students in all grade levels as well as their families, staff and the greater community. This year we will help nearly 100 local families who will receive groceries, toiletries, household items, clothing and other gifts. To contribute, please send a donated item to school with your student or click here to donate. Thank you for your support!

Online Athletic Ticketing
The option to purchase tickets online for home athletic events began Nov. 1. We will move to 100% online ticketing starting Dec. 6. Visit the link below or access through our website under "Athletics" and "Purchase Tickets." www.vancoevents.com/us/eventlist/dowlingcatholic 
DCHS Service Trips
Applications for the DCHS service trips this summer to Brazil and Guatemala are due Nov. 19. Please contact Mr. Smith, Mrs. Sackett or Mr. Clark with questions. 
AP Exams 
Students enrolled in AP courses at DCHS are able to take the AP exam in Spring 2022 for potential college credit. Testing will take place the weeks of May 2-6 and May 9-13. Make sure your student has enrolled in a class or exam only section using the join code provided by their teacher. If you don't know the code, please email Colleen Koppes. Cost is $96 per exam. Register through Smart Tuition by Nov. 12 to avoid a $40 late fee. There will be no refunds. 
ON CAMPUS     
Revive
Our next Revive night will take place on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 6:30 pm in the chapel. DCHS graduate Sam Halligan '13 will be talking about how God desires to heal us in mind, body and spirit. Everyone is invited to attend and reconnect with God!
Lost and Found
The lost and found will be cleaned out during Thanksgiving break. If your student is missing an item please have them check before the break. 
CPR
The Healthy Kids Act requires that all Iowa students take a CPR course to graduate. Online courses do not satisfy this requirement. DCHS will offer courses for juniors/seniors enrolled in a P.E. class and all students in Lifeguarding/Health 2. Courses will be offered from 3:30-6:30 pm on Dec. 7. The cost is $40. Please sign up online.

Yearbook Photos
The deadline to submit senior photos for the yearbook is Nov. 29. Photos must be submitted via email to yearbook@dowlingcatholic.org. Please click here for photo requirements. Email Carly Triplett at ctriplett@dowlingcatholic.org with questions. 
Transportation Reimbursement
-Students living in the Des Moines Public School District (DMPS) ONLY must fill out the
nonpublic transportation reimbursement form ONLINE if you live three miles, one-way from DCHS. DMPS will NOT accept paper copies. 
-Ankeny residents must also submit the reimbursement form ONLINE. 
-If you do NOT live in the DMPS or Ankeny districts but live more than three miles, one-way from DCHS, please submit the reimbursement form to the public school address in which you reside. Forms must be submitted by mail each semester (due Dec. 1 and May 1). Eligible families will receive one check in August.
Giving Tuesday
Each year DCHS purchases 375 new Chromebooks for incoming students. Giving Tuesday is coming up on Nov. 30 and we have a big goal: To raise $20,000 in a single day to purchase 75 new Chromebooks for the next school year. We hope you will join us on this day that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity! More details to follow!
Dowling Club
Be a part of the tradition! Since 1941, Dowling Club members have been raising awareness, enthusiasm and funding for Maroons in extracurricular activities. Membership provides admission to all home athletic events and a one-time 15% Campus Store discount (some restrictions apply). Purchase online.

DEC 2: Christmas Luncheon
Celebrate the Christmas season and the DCHS community at Glen Oaks Golf & Country Club. Enjoy a holiday lunch and entertainment from student musicians and vocalists. Doors open at 11 am and the program begins at 11:30. Bishop William Joensen will be our special guest. Please RSVP online.
