APRIL FAIR ACTIVITIES

Get ready for summer and have some fun now with the CA State Fair!
CA State Fair & Food Festival: July 17th-Aug 2nd
We remain optimistic that we will join together this summer and celebrate with pineapple whip! Plans remain in full swing for the annual CA State Fair & Food Festival, July 17-August 2, 2020. Your health and safety are most important to us and we are following all the recommendations of our state leadership. While we are all staying at home we want to get you excited about summer, so we have a couple of State Fair related activities for you!
Read to Ride Program. Two girls reading a book
Tuesdays are kind of a big deal at the CA State Fair & Food Festival. Why? Well, kids (12 and under) get in for free and we have $2 rides for everyone! That's not all either.
We also have an amazing Read to Ride Program. For every 2 books your child reads, they will get 2 free ride tickets and 1 monorail ticket for free! This program is for K-8th graders.

A Cherry Sweet Activity & Fun Fact
Did you know pollination is essential for California Cherry production? Cherry trees are not self-pollinating; two varieties of cherries must be planted in each orchard at a ratio of 9 to 1. We can thank industrious honey bees for all of their hard work!

Here's a cherry tree maze and coloring page to print out for the little ones to enjoy.

Quiet Time together
When was the last time you did a coloring page? Adult coloring pages are a great way to unwind and relax. Here is an adult coloring page just for you. Bonus points if you share your finished piece on our Facebook!
Farm animals are a favorite at the Fair!
Challenge the kiddos with a kid-friendly animal sudoku puzzle!
Print out a copy of our farm animal sodoku puzzle here. Cut out the pieces on the right. Have them complete the Sudoku puzzle so that each and every row and column contains each animal only once.
Get social... from home!
Join us on social media or share this newsletter with friends. We will be doing CA State Fair & Food Festival sneak peeks of the new and exciting exhibits, rides, concerts and more in the weeks to come!

We hope that everyone is staying healthy and safe. We can't wait to be together again soon!
